The collie dogs is a copy of a Gainsborough painting, which has been much admired and has been in my family for some time, then placed on exhibition.
I did The Battle of Waterloo painting following a time when I was living in Belgium. I visited Waterloo and the circular tower at the site of the battle, in which the battle scene was filmed in the round on the circular walls, complete with the sound of battle cries, braying horses and cannon fire. It was most impressive and well worth a visit.
Both the Battle of Waterloo and the Gainsborough Dogs can be copied onto canvas with 2cm sides, which can either show the scene wrapped around the sides, mirrored sides or plain, ready for you to frame. I could send this to you for just £67.
The painting of Bruce Castle was done for a competition and this painting was put on display at Bruce Castle. The competition arose following a painting of the castle, executed in the 17th Century, found in pieces in a drawer. A team of restorers were commissioned to work on the piece, which is now above the fireplace on entering Bruce Castle. The call went out for a 21st Century painting of the castle, to be no bigger than A2, and I entered this piece.
The Pottery Riots depicts the riots in Burslem in 1842, when the army was called out. Josiah Heapy was the first person to be killed in front of the Wedgwood House (the Big House) at the top of Moorlands Avenue, Burslem.
